James Johnson is a native of Las Vegas; but as a self-proclaimed "military brat," he was born in Bitburg, Germany.
James loves working in news and has been in the business for 11 years, working in Las Vegas; Laredo, Texas; and Bakersfield, Calif.; before landing in Omaha. Some of his most memorable stories are working along the Mexican border, covering immigration and border enforcement.
James has received three Emmys: one for editing, one for reporting, and the other for anchoring. He has also received a Mark Twain award for reporting as well.
James loves playing basketball, traveling, watching movies, and enjoying time with his family. Excited to move to Omaha — the coldest place he's ever lived — James said he can’t wait to see all four seasons.
