OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) - After 40 years in business, the Blue Jay Bar and Grill near Creighton's campus will close on August 3, according to a letter posted by the bar on Facebook.
"It has been our pleasure serving, employing, interacting and being included in the Omaha and University experience," the letter said. "We welcome all current and former customers, employees and alumni to please stop in and see us in the coming weeks."
The Blue Jay Bar has had a series of legal issues in the last two years.
Last May, a 19-year-old fell and fractured her skull at the bar.
Earlier this month, the Nebraska Liquor Control Commission issued a warning to the bar after it received dozens of complaints about minors drinking there.
