Congressman Don Bacon took the stage tonight to address key issues from the people.

At his seventh town hall meeting this year, this time at Papillion-La Vista High School, Bacon discussed several issues including health care Monday night.

On gun legislation, he referred to mass shootings like we saw in Vegas, saying those incidents are impossible to predict.

Immigration and DACA also came up. John Hartwell of Omaha said "it should be repealed in total and should not be tied to a deal for the wall or any other measure it should stand alone on its own and be killed." Congressman Bacon said "so I talked about how we can fix it more border security, visa compliance, employer enforcement but on the other hand our district wants to find a compassionate way forward for DACA and a permanent solution so they are not in fear of being deported."

When asked if he heard anything new at tonight's meeting, the Congressman said a question about third world countries and world poverty caught him a little off guard.  He says as one of the richest counties in the world, America has an obligation to have a positive impact.
