OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) - An Omaha man is being held without bail after police say he shot and killed another during an argument at a party.

Twenty-year-old Malcolm Ward is charged with first-degree murder in the death of Brandon Mutum. According to prosecutors, Ward and Mutum started arguing at an apartment party near 65th and Ames and that's when Ward fired three to four shots.

Witnesses told police Ward ran from the scene but later confessed to someone else about the shooting.

His next court appearance is scheduled for June 21.
