Brooke Sanders spends a lot of her time in the house caring for her sick mother and is always looking for ways to make money from home.

"There was an advert for a drink beverage company that wanted to break into the industry here, so they thought it was a good idea to have their logo on cars here."

They said they'd send a check and someone would wrap her car with their logo, promising to pay 450 dollars a week.

"That sounds like a cute marketing thing, but it kind of sounds like a scam."

"So I thought either I'm going to catch a scammer or I'm going to get a cheesy little part time job."

The scammer goes by the name Carabao Energy Drinks.

They asked Sanders to send an email with her name and address.

"I thought there is no banking information so I will go ahead and do it."

She received a text back and something was off.

"This is written by someone else, this is cut and paste, and this is someone trying to speak cohesively."

After saying no thanks, they still sent this check, asking her to withdraw 75 percent for them and to keep the rest.

"Any job involving you to deposit checks or wire money is a tip off to the rip offs."

Luckily sanders caught the signs early.

"I needed to let the community know that this is happening and don’t fall for it.”
