The Sarpy County Attorney has charged 37-year-old Jesse Stull with one count of delivery of a controlled substance, methamphetamine.

Omaha Public Schools Communications Director, Monique Farmer, confirms Stull is a physical education teacher at Highland Elementary School.

According to court documents, on January 27, Stull intentionally manufactured, distributed, delivered or dispensed meth. The document did not give specific details but said it happened at a home on Montreal Drive in Bellevue.

Farmer said in a statement, "The Sarpy County Sheriff's Department contacted District Administration during spring break when no classes were in session to inform us that a teacher who works at Highland Elementary was arrested on suspicion of illegal substance possession. The arrest was not related to any of our students or any school-related activities. The teacher was placed on administrative leave pending an official investigation. We are actively cooperating with law enforcement authorities."

Stull's preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 4.
