Two more arrests made in Billy Walker homicide near 76th & Maple

Two men were taken into custody this week in connection with the July 7 homicide of Billy Walker homicide on July 7, Omaha Police said in a Friday press release. 

Jason Rankin, 37, was in Mills County (Iowa) Jail after he was arrested Friday on local charges; his extradition to Omaha is pending, the OPD release states. 

Mark Gonzales, 35, was arrested by the Metro Fugitive Task Force on his outstanding warrant for accessory to a felony in connection to the homicide, the release states.

At 9:30 p.m. July 7, Omaha Police officers responding to a call of a shooting near Benson Gardens Boulevard and Miami Plaza, found Billy Allen Walker, 40, at the scene. Walker was transported to CUMC Bergan Mercy, where he was pronounced dead, reports state.

On July 13, Milea Ixta, 26, and Adrian Ixta, 29, were taken into custody without incident in Texas, with extradition to Omaha pending.
