The Omaha-based railroad company announced today it will cut 750 workers by this Fall.
Many of those jobs will be in management and administration.
U-P is citing weaker financial results and a declining volume of goods it's is hauling as reasons for the cuts.
The company will offer some workers early retirement or a buyout.
