Back home at TD Ameritrade Park after claiming the regular season conference crown and earning the top seed in the Big EAST tournament, Creighton picked up a win its tournament opener, moving past Seton Hall, 4-1.

A scoreless game entering the bottom of the fifth, sophomore outfielder Clark Brinkman belted a two-run blast over the wall in left to give the Jays a 2-0 lead.  Bryce Only added on for CU in the next frame, roping a RBI-triple to the gap in right, scoring Riley Landuyt to make it 3-1 Creighton.

Then in the bottom of the eighth, Landuyt ripped a shot off the wall in left, scoring Parker Upton for the fourth and final run of the game.

Creighton's starter Thursday night was impressive as well. Rollie Lacy threw seven innings, only allowing an unearned run, while striking out five to earn the win over the Pirates.

Creighton will now face Xavier Friday evening at TD Ameritrade at 6:30 p.m.
