In a back and forth first half in the District A-5 girls' final, it was finally Omaha Westside that got on the board first, as the Warriors rolled past Lincoln East, 2-0 on its way to the state tournament.
Junior midfielder Olivia Washburn netted both goals for Omaha Westside Thursday night. First, just before halftime, Washburn broke open the scoring for the Warriors. Then, in the second half, Washburn added the second and final goal of the night, drilling home a penalty kick.
