The Omaha Storm Chasers will host the "Taste, Tour and Tickets" event at Werner Park Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will serve as a kick-off for the 2017 season for Chasers fans.
The "Taste, Tour and Tickets" event will allow fans to tour Werner Park for free, including the home clubhouse, press boxes and suites. Fans will also be able to purchase a $5 wristband to taste the new food items coming to Werner Park next season, including mac 'n' cheese, breaded chicken sandwiches and turnovers.
Tickets for the Storm Chasers opening day game against Round Rock will be available to purchase at a special $5 price at the event. The Chasers will commemorate their seventh year at Werner Park by having $7 merchandise specials as well.
During the "Taste, Tour and Tickets" event, fans that put down a 50% deposit on half-season tickets will be allowed to take five swings on the field. If the fan hits a homerun, the other 50% of the price of the tickets will be waived. If not, participants have until opening day to pay the remaining balance as a part of the "Swing For Your Seats" challenge.
