Alyssa Curtis

Multimedia Journalist

Alyssa graduated from Ithaca College in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and a minor in sports studies.

While in school Alyssa worked as a reporter and anchor for her college news station ICTV, wrote for the sports section of the newspaper, and created content for multiple digital outlets.

She worked with NBC and MSNBC to cover the 2019 Women’s March in Washington, D.C. After graduating Alyssa worked as a news writer for a digital site.

Alyssa loves telling stories about underrepresented communities and telling stories that matter.

Alyssa is a Miami native and will miss the year-round beach weather and Cuban food. She wouldn’t mind going to a Huskers game but is a Miami Hurricane through and through.

Even though she’s not a fan of having to drive in the snow, Alyssa is excited to explore Omaha and says everyone in the Midwest is so kind. When she’s not in the newsroom Alyssa can be found trying new restaurants around town or walking her dog Biscuit.
