Caitlin is excited to join the KMTV Team and join the morning show as the new meteorologist/traffic reporter. She recently moved from North Dakota where she worked at WDAY in Fargo, ND as a weekend meteorologist.
Before moving to Omaha, Caitlin lived in North Dakota for about three years and Southern California before that. She moved to North Dakota to pursue degrees in Atmospheric Sciences and Communication with a math minor from the University of North Dakota. In May 2021, she graduated from UND with honors.
Ever since she moved to the Great Plains, she has loved it. "I love to experience seasons! From extreme winters to severe thunderstorms," she says. The hottest temperature she has been in was approximately 120°F in Southern California. And the coldest she has been was -35°F in North Dakota. Talk about some extreme seasons!
In her free time, she enjoys re-watching The Office, hiking, camping, traveling, watching collegiate hockey (while cheering on her UND Men's Hockey Team), and visiting her "North Dakota Family" in Grand Forks.
She swears that anytime she hears "Omaha," it's in Peyton Manning's voice.
