Meteorologist Chris Swaim joined the 3 News Now Weather Alert Team in July 2020.
Chris grew up in Central Indiana. He stayed in Indiana for college attending Ball State University. Chris majored in meteorology and climatology and minored in geographic information systems.
His passion for meteorology and broadcast took him all over the Midwest and the south. He moved to the quad cities in Iowa right out of college, to Little Rock, then Fayetteville, Arkansas, and most recently Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
"I have really enjoyed forecasting all types of weather. I guess that is fitting coming to Omaha, where we can see everything from blizzard conditions to extreme severe weather," Chris said.
When Chris is not forecasting the weather you can find him on the local hiking trails with his dog Kylo.
Chris also enjoys building and playing games on home-built PCs.
