An overnight mystery solved by police, now they want to identify the people missing Halloween decorations.

The Council Bluffs Police Department picked up 5 teens at about 12:30 am on Friday who allegedly stole at least seven inflatable Halloween decorations.  They were stopped for a traffic violation and admitted to committing the crimes.

Two decorations were identified and returned to their owners, but police are still hoping to identify the other property owners.  The thefts apparently happened north of West Broadway.

Tami Lewis puts up a lot of decorations every year.  She didn't have anything stolen overnight but hopes the suspects realize who they're hurting.

"That's just a shame.  People put a lot of work into their yards and they do it for the little people that's the main thing, that's why I do it.  I don't have any anymore mine are all grown and gone," Lewis explained.

The suspects; Guy Sudmann, 19, Davin Woodward, 19, Jose Valdivia, 18, Gad Huseman, 18, and Henry Arenas, 19, were arrested for third-degree theft and all released on bond.

If you live in Council Bluffs and believe your Halloween decorations were stolen call the CB Police Department at 712-328-4715 and ask for the Property Division.
