OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Theater lovers that have been going through a bit of withdrawal with stages dark right now can get back to being a part of an audience if they don't mind that seat being in a parking lot. The Omaha Community Playhouse is standing strong with their "The Show Must Go On" attitude.

Their show, "Don't Stop Me Now" full of the most popular rock songs from broadway musicals starts tonight. It will be performed on a temporary stage set up in the theater parking lot. It gives everyone a chance to unwind, enjoy great musical theater and continue to social distance.

"The songs range from "Jesus Christ Superstar" to "Rent" to "Dreamgirls". These singers are really wonderful and the band is incredible," says Jim Boggess, Music Director, Omaha Community Playhouse.

The band features Billy McGuigns's Rave On Products Band with six powerhouse vocalists. The parking lot can hold about 200 people. "Don't Stop Me Now" runs August 28th until September 20th.

Early arrival is recommended to allow extra time for parking. Parking spaces will be assigned as cars arrive. Please, no lining up to park until 60 minutes before showtime. Tickets are on sale now starting at $35, with prices varying by performance. Tickets may be purchased at the OCP Box Office, located at 6915 Cass Street, by phone at (402) 553-0800 or online at OmahaPlayhouse.com.
