More resources to help students with mental or behavioral health issues could soon be coming to Nebraska schools.

Leaders from the state health and human services worked with Nebraska educators to develop a guidebook to lead children to those services. It comes as a new grant will send the state $9 million to make more resources available.

"Since mental health is one of the greatest concerns that superintendents have in our state, this is an awesome opportunity," Dr. Deborah Frison with the Nebraska Department of Education said.

The additional services will start in South Sioux City, Hastings and Chadron and could be expanded to other parts of the state.
