Omaha getting in on Royal Wedding fever

OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) - Some in Omaha are getting into the British spirit by planning to decorate and watch the royal wedding in the wee hours of Saturday morning.

CBS will begin its royal wedding coverage at 4 a.m. Saturday with “CBS This Morning” co-host Gayle King, and “Entertainment Tonight” co-host Kevin Frazier. Also expect commentary from Tina Brown, CBS News’ royal contributor and author of the 2008 book “The Diana Chronicles” about the late Princess Diana.

The Village Grinder coffee shop near 87th and Pacific streets plans to open around 5:45 a.m. Saturday. Owner Pat Dudziak says they are busy Friday baking British and Royal Wedding themed treats for customers.

According to our partners at the Omaha World-Herald, Mikaela Borecky is planning on hosting a watch party in her west Omaha home.
