OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — According to our partners at the Omaha World Herald, Husker fooball assistant coaches have been offered contract extensions.
According to the Nebraska Athletic Department, four assistants contracts have already been finalized. Assistant coach contracts originally ran through December 31, 2019. The extension now goes through December 21, 2020.
The contract extensions for offensive coordinator Troy Walters and defensive coordinator Erik Chinander will be subject to Nebraska President Hank Bounds since they all make over $500,000.
The Huskers are coming off a 4-8 season.
The original version of this story stated that Scott Frost was also receiving an extension, the Nebraska Athletic Department said that is not the case.
