Nebraska has its newest Blackshirt.
The team awarded senior Aaron Williams the black jersey following the Troy game.
The senior has 13 tackles this season and is the first safety to receive a Blackshirt in 2018.
the nebraska punt coverage unit had an off week against troy. the group gave up 65 yards and a touchdown in the loss. special teams coach jovan dewitt says the young group is learning from its experiences. <"Sometimes the growing pains while changing a culture, you have to go through those things. You have to be able to see it and visualize it and then internalize it. Sometimes it takes making mistakes and going through it before people fully understand no matter how much you preach, if you don't have a realization of what could happen and I think there was a realization this weekend of all of those little details matter all the time.">
