OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) - A woman who broke into another person's home was treated at the hospital after being cut with a knife, according to Omaha police.
The incident happened near South 16th and Center streets after just after midnight Saturday morning.
Police say they were called to the location on a report of a cutting. A woman, identified as Asia Blackburn, told investigators Joellen Rogers had broken a window and the front door with garden sheers.
Rogers then charged at Blackburn with the sheers, but Blackburn grabbed a kitchen knife and cut the suspect, police say.
Rogers left and went to a hospital for treatment for injuries considered non-life threatening, police say.
She was arrested and booked on suspicion of attempted felony assault, disorderly conduct, and destruction of property.
