B&B Classic Dogs in Bellevue want to add onto their restaurant and build an indoor sports complex.

The restaurant has been serving up hotdogs and a side of arcade games for four years, but they want to provide a complex that they think Bellevue is lacking.

Co-owner Diane Bruce said they plan to build a 10,000 square foot complex on the empty lot next door, “Instead of going somewhere else, keeping the money and kids in Bellevue.”

There would be batting cages, soccer fields, and possibly a golf simulator.

“We have talked with Bellevue University and they need a place to practice, we have also talked with some soccer clubs,” said Bruce.

The cost for the complex is about one million dollars, Bruce said they have received some grant money but will rely on the community for financial support as well.

They have aGoFundMeset up to help raise money.

“To see what kind of support we can get from Bellevue, what kind of interest, since it is a million dollar project, we hope the community steps up,” she added.

They have started looking at turf and netting for the complex and have even envisioned an outdoor patio to eat and drink on.

“It will be one of a kind to have those together, our restaurant is already unique.”

Bruce said they hope to have the complex open by Summer or Fall 2018.
