OMAHA, Ne. (KMTV) — Family and friends remembered Anne Boyle today at the Heafey Hoffmann Dworak Cutler Funeral Home.
A visitation was held this morning, followed by a funeral service. Boyle died Feb. 2 surrounded by family in Omaha. She was 76.
Boyle was the chair of the Nebraska Democratic Party from 1998 to 2001. She was elected to the Nebraska Public Service Commission in 1996, serving a total of 18 years until retiring in 2015.
She was the wife of Douglas County Board member and former Mayor of Omaha Mike Boyle.
Tomorrow, Metropolitan Community Church will remember her commitment to equality. Anyone is able to attend the service which begins at 10:30a.m.
