OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — The Latino Center of the Midlands will reopen its doors to the public this coming Monday at 9:00 a.m.

Over the past few months, they have seen an increased demand for assistance with utilities, rent, employment and food assistance. Moving forward, the group anticipates that these demands will only grow.

"Even though the office is reopening, the non-profit has not stopped working since the COVID-19 pandemic began," the center said. "Over the past few months, Family Community Well-Being, Pathways to Success and Workforce, Education and Innovation has continued to support its clients remotely."

Additionally, through partnerships with other nonprofits, the center has organized the delivery of hygiene supplies, food and important COVID-19 resources. They will hold a drive-thru event next Wednesday in order to distribute more essential supplies to the community.

In order to maintain the safety of the community, the organization will follow strict disease prevention and hygiene protocols. All those who need assistance will be required to make an appointment by phone (402-733-2720). This will allow the non-profit to control the number of people in the office at a certain time.
