Following a hailstorm that hit the Omaha metro on June 29, State Farm has received approximately 5,090 claims, according to a release; and Farmers Insurance reported more than 1,000.

Almost 75 percent of those claims have been for damage to vehicles.

Farmers Insurance also drive-in locations set up at:

  • Carstar Silver Hammer, 4827 N. 90th St., is open daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • B Street Collision Center-East, 3240 Paul St, is open 7 a.m.-6:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.

State Farm has also set up a drive-through operation for Omaha-area customers to get their storm-damaged vehicles inspected. The drive-thru is by appointment only and State Farm is working on opening a second drive-thru location in North or Northeast Omaha.
