What's driving you crazy: 168th Street in Sarpy County

Posted

On March 26, more road closures will hit the Metro when 168th Street between Giles and Harrison in Sarpy County closes

"We began the project with the bridge repair and we knew when we had to do the bridge repair, we decided to go ahead and add the road project at the same time," Sarpy County communications manager Megan Stubenhofer-Barrett said.

The second phase of the project will include milling and replacing the surface of the road to extend the street's life.

"We'll go ahead and core out the soft spots, fix them, repair then overlay the road," Stubenhofer-Barrett said, adding that this is a long-term fix.

Even though construction on this phase is roughly from Gertrude to Harrison, a complete closure is necessary. The project is expected to take 12 working days to complete.
