More and more car manufacturers are looking for ways to make the wheels you drive more eco-friendly....

But what about the dealerships? Lindsey Theis is checking out some local locations that are taking steps now to shrink their eco footprint.

By now we've all heard of cars going green: electric, hybrid, you know the deal. But for this seller of wheels, the green is also happening behind the scenes.

Beardmore Chevrolet is the first dealership in Nebraska to get recognized for their sustainabilty. They join some 400 dealers around the country going green.

The energy efficent improvements go from head to toe. The dealership installed LED lighting that they power with solar panels. They also put in low water use toilets to conserve water. And then from service to recycled, old motor oil is used to heat the building.

So while the color green might not always be the most popular color for your car, inside here, they're hoping green will speed off and grow.
