Showers and thunderstorms will be possible in southeast Nebraska and most of southern Iowa Wednesday afternoon and evening.

“The chance of rain here, really anytime from here on out, about 30 or 40 percent early, and then we raise the probability of that from about 60 to 80 percent early tonight. That’s when we could see some stronger storms,” said KMTV Meteorologist Ryan McPike.
“We may see those kind of initially develop real close to the metro, say about 4 o’clock, and then quickly press south and east with risk for some strong winds and maybe some hail just to the southeast of us through the early part of the evening. We’ll have to watch. We’re kind of right on the fringe here in the metro.”
