Alcohol not a factor in Foltz crash

Posted
Alcohol was not a factor in the crash that killed Huskers punter Sam Foltz.

A toxicology report on former Michigan State punter Mike Sadler obtained by the Associated Press shows Sadler's blood alcohol content was .03. The report also shows a low level of amphetamines in his blood, which prosecutors say is not uncommon.

Sadler and Foltz died when Sadler's car struck a tree on a winding road east of Milwaukee on July 23rd. The car then burst into flames. LSU kicker Colby Delahoussaye was also injured in the crash. Wet pavement and Sadler's unfamiliarity with the area were factors in the crash.

All three were in Wisconsin to work at a kicking camp.
