Senior wide receiver Jordan Westerkamp and sophomore offensive tackle Nick Gates were among the players receiving All-Conference recognition.
Westerkamp earned third-team honors from the conference coaches, while Gates received third-team honors from the conference's coaches. Westerkamp received honors for the second straight year after being placed on the second-team in 2015.
Westerkamp led the Huskers in receptions with 38, receiving yards with 526, and touchdown receptions with five despite missing most of three games. He has also caught at least one pass in 36 consecutive games. Westerkamp will hold the school record for catches in consecutive games with a catch in the Huskers' bowl game.
Gates led the Huskers offensive line which allowed just 11 sacks in 12 games. Gates started all 12 games at left tackle.
Senior quarterback Tommy Armstrong Jr., tight end Cethan Carter and running back Terrell Newby received honorable mention All-Big Ten accolades.
Armstrong was named honorable mention by both the coaches and the media. Armstrong has thrown for 2,180 yards and 14 touchdowns this season. He added 512 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns as well.
Despite injuries, Carter was able to haul in 17 catches during his senior season and is among one of the top pass-catching tight ends in school history.
Newby finished his senior season with 864 rushing yards, seven rushing touchdowns and 16 catches out of the backfield.
