UNO men's, women's basketball prepare for upcoming season

With basketball season just around the corner, the UNO men's and women's basketball team talked to the media about their upcoming seasons.

The Mavericks women's basketball team finished 15-15 overall and 7-9 in the Summit League. The women's team is looking to improve in head coach Brittany Lange's fourth season. 

The UNO men's basketball team finished last season 18-14 overall and 10-6 in the Summit League. Mavericks guard Tra-Deon Hollins led the NCAA in steals a season ago while UNO came in ranked No. 4 in steals as a team. 

The women's team opens its season against Colorado State Nov. 11 in Fort Collins, Colorado. Its home opener against the University of Nebraska-Lincoln is scheduled for Nov. 22.

The Men's team opens its season at home against UC Santa Barbara Saturday, Nov. 12 at 4 p.m.
