OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — The donated toys are being sorted at the Salvation Army and this year they will be able to help around 1500 families in need.

The salvation Army is always in need of gifts for older kids in the age range 9-15. "Maybe sports apparel for those that are 9 and above and maybe gift cards, maybe cologne, watches, make up things like that, anything an older child would like to use," said Major Greg Thompson, divisional commander with the Salvation Army.

The Salvation Army is still accepting donations through December 18th. Donations can be dropped off at the old Canfield's on West Center Road.
