This weekend’s snowstorm brought big impacts to travel and some high snow totals as we expected. The system tracked farther south early Sunday morning which allowed dry air to move into Omaha by mid-Sunday morning, keeping our snow totals on the lighter side. In fact, only half an inch of snow was measured at Eppley. Although Omaha was spared from the brunt of the heaviest snow, just 30-40 miles south in Nebraska City they received 10 inches of snow. That heavy snow band impacted parts of southeastern Nebraska near Beatrice up towards Clarinda and into south central Iowa, leaving a swath of snow totals between about 7-11 inches. So far Omaha has recorded 3.7 inches of snow since October, that's 1.5 inches above normal to date.
