For many girls, going to prom is a dream. For one Nebraska girl, a fire nearly put out that dream.
A fire destroyed the family home of Hailey Babish, including her prom dress just a few weeks before the dance.
Classmates rallied around the Ogallala senior. Then a dress shop in North Platte decided to help.
"I got the message and read it and my teacher ended up sitting there and hugging me because I sat there and bawled in my science class," said Hailey Babish.
Hailey and her sister got to pick out any dress they wanted in the store, which they wore to prom last Saturday.
