Jack Eichorst appears in court; bond set at $25,000

Jack Eichorst, 18, son of the former Huskers Athletic Director Shawn Eichorst, was formally charged in court today of first-degree sexual assault. His bond was set at $25,000.

Jack Eichorst was taken into custody on Friday. A Lincoln Police report states a 12-year-old boy was the victim of non-consensual sexual penetration at the Eichorst home late Friday, Oct. 20, or early Saturday, Oct. 21. Police began their investigation on Thursday, Oct. 26.

According to an affidavit, Eichorst waived his Miranda rights and admitted during in his interview Friday at LPD headquarters that he did have intercourse with the victim, but said the act was consensual.

The document states the victim reported the incident to a school counselor.
