OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) - Former Vice President Joe Biden spoke Tuesday at the dedication of the Fred and Pamela Buffett Cancer Center.

"The Buffett family has been an incredible family, all they've done in so many spheres," Biden said.

The $323 million facility is set to open on June 5 and aims totransform the way patients and doctors fight cancer.

Biden said he hopes others follow the lead of the Buffett Cancer Center, and added his only regret about not running for president was that he wanted "preside over the end of cancer as we know it."

Biden lost his son Beau to cancer at age 46 in 2015.
