A major Council Bluffs project could be in danger of losing funding.
The Iowa West Foundation sent a letter to the Council Bluffs City Council questioning whether it will fund phases two through five of the West Broadway streetscape project.
The foundation is taking issue with the city council's decision to unilaterally eliminate medians from the plan. Some businesses along West Broadway feared the medians would keep customers away.
The Iowa West Foundation committed $9 million to the original design, and says it's willing to support the project but is waiting on the City Council's next move.
