Omaha Police say a woman is dead after being hit by a U-haul moving truck.

The incident happened around 4:45 near 152nd and Pepperwood.

The truck came out of gear and hit the woman.

The victim 48-year-old Camille Jackson and her husband Cletus Jackson were in the process of moving.

The victim was seated in the driver's seat of the U-haul box style moving truck and exited the vehicle to speak with a driver of a pickup that stopped in front of their residence looking for somebody in the area.

As Camille exited the vehicle - the truck began rolling down the driveway out of gear.

Camille and her husband, who was standing by the U-haul, made physical attempts to stop it.

Camille was run over as the U-haul entered the right of way.
