Mike Riley addresses Elijah Blades, college football on Friday and more

Nebraska Head Coach Mike Riley drew plenty of attention at Big Ten Media Days from both local and national media outlets. Riley spoke both at the main podium and the side podium, addressing many issues facing the Huskers this offseason.

One of the hotbutton issues surrounding the team was the eligibility of recruit Elijah Blades. Riley confirmed that Blades was not eligible, but shot down the idea that Nebraska tried to place Blades at a junior college. 

Another topic Riley discussed was having college football games on Friday night. Riley said if he has the chance, he will lobby against Friday games. He said he likes having a full week of preparation, and loves the tradition of high school football on Fridays and college football on Saturdays.

Riley took a moment to remember Bob Elliot, saying that his time with the team was "too short". Check out Riley's full press conference at the main podium here, as he takes the stage around the four minute mark:
