Nebraska's Tanner Lee named to 2017 Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award watch list

Nebraska junior quarterback Tanner Lee has been named to the 2017 Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award watch list. The award is presented at the end of football season and the winner is selected  based on accomplishments on and off the field. There are a total of 47 candidates, players must be a college senior or fourth-year junior on schedule to graduate with their class. 

Lee sat out the 2016 season due to NCAA transfer guidelines. He transferred to Nebraska from Tulane where he started for two years. 

Lee started nine games at quarterback and threw for 1,639 yards and 11 touchdowns, while completing 52 percent of his passes in 2015. 

Nebraska's Tommie Frazier won the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award in 1995.
