Gross Catholic High School has named Tom Van Haute as the new head football coach starting in 2017.
Van Haute graduated from Gross Catholic in 2008 and went on to graduate from Hastings College with a BA in Physical Education and a Coaching Endorsement. After undergrad he went on to receive his Masters in Special Education.
Van Haute was a member of the Hastings football team from 2008-2011. He is currently the Academic Success Coordinator and Physical Education Teacher at Gross Catholic High School. Van Haute is also the assistant football, basketball, and baseball coach at Gross.
“In his current role at Gross Catholic, Tom Van Haute has had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of students through several avenues. Tom understands the Gross Catholic culture, and his experience as a coach and teacher has prepared him for this Varsity Head Football position," Athletic Director Mike Dempsey said.
