Fred Petito begins year number 34 as Millard North head coach. He's led the Mustangs to five state titles including the school's most recent in 2015.
Millard North returns five starters on each side of the ball including quarterback Cade Elwood and fullback/linebacker Noah Mick.
"I think we can take it all the way," said Elwood."Just got to work hard day in and day out. No days off."
The Mustangs went 9-2 in 2016 falling in the state quarterfinals.
"You're always motivated," Petito said. "For us, 9-2 is one thing but this is Millard North and the expectations here are pretty high."
The team opens the season on Friday August 25 against last year's Class A runner up Omaha North.
