The annual drive to make sure no child goes without joy this Christmas is underway in Omaha.
The two-day event aims to make sure every child in the area has a great holiday. The Star 104.5 Adopt-A-Family radiothon matches people with a family that you "adopt" for Christmas.
Volunteers are taking calls for folks who want to donate a gift (valued at $30) and a Christmas dinner. For more information, click here or call 402-898-6050.
Here's how it works:
- Call 402-898-6050 anytime either day between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m.
- You will be matched with a family that you "adopt" for Christmas. That means you agree to provide a gift of approximately $30 value for all children in the family, plus a grocery voucher for Christmas Dinner.
- Voucher should be $20 for first member plus $10 for each additional member.
- You will contact the family and arrange a time to deliver the gifts directly to the family.
- 100% of every dollar you spend goes directly to the family you adopt.
