OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — The City of Bellevue says access to Green Acres and Paradise lakes for all residents is now being permitted for people to retrieve their personal belongings.
In order to gain access, you must first go to the Bellevue City Offices of Permits and Inspections at 1510 Wall Street from 8am-4:30, Monday-Friday. The office will be open this Saturday as well from 8:30am-11:30am. You can call the office at 402-293-3014.
At the office, residents will have to sign a Release for a Limited Entry Permit which will be required at checkpoints before making entry. The permit will only allow residents entry from 7am-8pm.
They also say:
"Dumpsters are located at 204 Industrial Drive for the disposal of property from Secured Storage and other items as individuals deem necessary. They are not for general dumping for businesses and Paradise Lakes residents. Please ensure that you are contacting your insurance company and FEMA representative prior to clearing out all items from your home. Please also be aware that the homes that are Uninhabitable and Have a 'DANGER' placard will not be allowed to be rehabilitated and/or remodeled due to certification requirements from the manufacturer after a flood. Businesses will be responsible for providing their own dumpsters for disposal of all items including metals , appliances, and chemicals. No burning will be allowed by residents or businesses."
