OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Mills County has set the final time for unincorporated residents to sign up for a buyout of their flooded property.
The deadline to apply for a property buyout is 4:30 p.m. Friday afternoon. The application cannot be submitted until the county determines the actual properties that will be included.
Residents who do not sign up by the deadline can be placed on a wait list, but will not be included in the original application. Mills County officials met on October 1st to determine the original deadline for those interested in the buyout process.
In March, a flood fund was established to help flood victims in Mills County.
