LINCOLN, Neb. (KMTV) — Financial assistance is available throughout Nebraska for cattle producers impacted by recent storms.
Eligible applicants for the Nebraska Cattlemen Disaster Relief Fund include any cattle producer with an operation located in an area that falls under an emergency disaster declaration.
Applicants must display a genuine need or distress due to the disaster by providing information on assets and certifying these assets are not sufficient to rebuild.
Nebraska Cattlemen membership is not required for an applicant to get relief.
Submitted applications will go under review by a committee selected by the relief fund Board of Directors. Eligibility for financial assistance is determined on a case-by-case basis.
The total amount each applicant is eligible to receive will be determined after the application period ends.
Donations to the fund continue to be accepted until May 31, 2019.
