OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Today is National Nurses Day.
Governor Ricketts declared this week nurses week in Nebraska. They will also be honored throughout the month of May.
The week ends on May 12, which is the birthday of Florence Nightingale who is known as the founder of modern nursing.
