DOUGLAS COUNTY, Neb. (KMTV) — The National Weather Service says a flood warning continues to be in effect for Douglas, Pottawattamie and Sarpy counties, with the Missouri River expected to rise to around 32 ft Tuesday night, gradually falling over the next few days.
As of 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, the river was at 31.9 ft--or 2.9 ft above flood stage.
A level of 32 ft classifies the flooding stage as moderate.
Don't drive cars through areas where water covers the road as the depth may be too great for a vehicle to safely pass.
