GAGE COUNTY, Neb. (KMTV) - Public Health Solutions announced the second confirmed case in Gage County on Friday night.

The case is a man in his 50s who experienced mild symptoms and is currently self-isolated at home.

An investigation has begun to identify people who may have been in close contact with the man.

Public Health Solutions also said the first case of coronavirus in Gage County, originally reported on Thursday, has been determined to be community spread.

Elsewhere in the state, Cherry County announced its first positive coroanvirus case. Officials there said the case is a result of close contact with someone else in another part of the state who tested positive for COVID-19.

As of late Friday, Nebraska was at 285 positive coronavirus cases.
