DODGE COUNTY, Neb. (KMTV) — The Three Rivers Public Health Dept. announced three cases of coronavirus in Dodge, Washington and Saunders counties on Wednesday.
The first case is in Dodge County and is a woman in her 40's. According to the health department, she is self-isolating at home.
This is Dodge County's first case of COVID-19.
Low-risk community exposures may have happened at the following times and locations:
- Baker's - 1531 Bell St, Fremont, NE. Sunday, March 22 from 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
- Dollar General - 1957 E Military Ave, Fremont, NE. Sunday, March 22 from 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
The health department said the second case is in Washington County, involving a woman in her 60's.
She has been self-isolating at home since March 15.
This is Washington County's 5th case of coronavirus.
The third case is in Saunders County and is a close contact of Tuesday's identified case. The individual is a woman in her 50's who is self-isolating at home.
Contact investigations are currently being completed in relation to the Saunders County case.
All identified close contacts will self-quarantine. Health officials will monitor them for symptoms twice daily.
According to the Nebraska Department of Public Health, there are 68 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the state as of Wednesday night.
